While three-step tone and decay switches determine the pedal's sonic character and the decay time of the reverb tail, the sustain footswitch allows you to extend the reverb into infinity. Another practical detail is the flexible bypass footswitch of the Walrus Audio Melee, which not only turns the pedal on and off permanently but can also be used as a momentary switch to set short sound highlights.
