The Yamaha AE2000 is a high-end, Japanese-made full-acoustic archtop guitar introduced in 1978. It features a large single-cutaway body—reminiscent of the Gibson L-5—complete with f-holes and an arched top.

The instrument utilizes a large hollow-body construction with a carved solid spruce top. This design—extending to the internal bracing—delivers the rich acoustic resonance characteristic of archtop guitars and produces a thick, rounded tone ideal for jazz. It features a maple set-neck paired with an ebony fingerboard adorned with diagonal split-block inlays.

It is equipped with two gold-covered humbucking pickups that support coil-tapping. This allows the player to switch between the powerful, full-bodied sound typical of humbuckers and the brighter tones associated with single-coil pickups. Complemented by gold hardware, a trapeze tailpiece, and an "Antique Stain" finish, the model exudes the dignified air and premium quality of a traditional archtop guitar.
