Marshall 1987X Reissue 50W Head – 1993A superb early example of the Marshall 1987X Reissue, manufactured in 1993 and representing an interesting chapter in Marshall’s history.Designed to recreate the legendary 50-watt Plexi amplifiers of the late 1960s, the 1987X delivers the unmistakable Marshall sound that has shaped generations of rock guitarists. With its traditional four-input layout, non-master volume design and simple control set, it offers outstanding touch sensitivity, dynamic response and classic British valve tone.Unlike later examples, these early reissues left the factory fitted with a 5881 power section, producing a slightly smoother and more rounded response while retaining all the punch, clarity and harmonic richness expected from a classic Marshall circuit.
