About this listing

Immaculate, 1959 Gibson Les Paul R9 (VOS model) in ‘Washed Cherry Sunburst', Serial no. 933146Purchased in 2019 when we moved house, I bought a load of new gear for people to use in the new studio.I didn't want to leave this particular guitar visible so stored it in the annexe (Insulated and Heated). Although safe and dry, painfully, was played only once or twice. Literally. I never even got around putting the pickguard on. And as you'll see, hardly a scratch. Neck is solid, typical lacquer cracks around volume and tone knobs but barely visible at most angles. Needs a new set of strings and some of the small screws have a little rust but it really is almost untouched since 2019.Original Box, Case, Certificate, Warranty leaflet, Pickguard with bracket and screws and tags.Any questions, feel free to ask!

Overview

  • The 2013 - 2017 Custom Historic '59 Les Paul Standard Reissues featured mahogany bodies with figured maple tops, Vintage '59 necks with rosewood fretboards, and Custombucker pickups. They were available in VOS or Gloss finishes. The Standard Historic model differs from the True Historic version in the historical accuracy of some components
  • VOS finishes are slightly duller, and meant to simulate a vintage patina. Gloss finishes originally retailed for slightly more than VOS models.
  • Available in both Gloss and VOS versions of Faded Tobacco Burst, Washed Cherry Burst, Iced Tea Burst, Bourbon Burst, Lemon Burst, and Sunrise Tea Burst, along with various other limited run finishes.
  • Updated in 2018 with new finishes and True Historic appointments.
