"BL" stands for "Blonde," featuring an eye-catching maple and spruce super-jumbo design. Key FeaturesDesign & Shape: A "super-jumbo" square-shoulder body that mirrors the famous Gibson J-200, known for its deep, booming projection and tone. Materials: Generally constructed with a spruce top and a highly figured maple or birch back and sides. Era & Origin: These models were built in Japan between roughly 1970 and 1979. Playability: Features a 17-inch wide body and a nut width often around \(1 \frac{13}{16}\) inches, which is slightly wider than standard electric guitars, making it ideal for fingerpicking.
