It accepts signal via Toslink optical or RCA analog inputs, converts it using onboard ADC and DAC circuitry, and streams wirelessly to Formation speakers at up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX HD, AAC, and SBC support, AirPlay 2, Wi-Fi, and a wired RJ45 Ethernet port. Streaming services including Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz, TuneIn, and Roon Ready are accessible through the B&W Music app on iOS or Android. A patented Robust Mesh Network handles multi-room synchronisation independently of the home Wi-Fi network, ensuring tight timing between rooms.
