Here for sale we have a Gibson 1950s J45 Original Electro-Acoustic Guitar in Ebony finish. Made in the USA in 2021, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising a Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double-bound, whilst the top is adorned with a nicely understated purfling and rosette designs and a tortoiseshell pickguard. A Bone saddle and nut are fitted along with a set of Grover Strap tuning machines with Cream buttons. An LR Baggs VTC undersaddle piezo pickup is installed, and is wired to sound hole mounted controls for volume & tone.

The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the Rounded profile providing ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers and allowing for easy navigation up and down the neck. The Rosewood fretboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The sloped-shoulder dreadnought body design fills the arms comfortably, providing a dynamic and responsive playing experience, allowing the user to really feel the resonance that this guitar produces and providing a sense of intimacy to the playing experience.

This guitar has a well-balanced and dynamic tone, producing a warm and rich sound, with a strong and clear midrange. The Sitka Spruce top and scalloped bracing contribute to the instrument's excellent projection and sustain, producing a bright and crisp high end that is well-articulated, whilst the Mahogany back and sides offer a warm and deep low end that make chords hum and chime. The LR Baggs VTC undersaddle piezo pickup faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument in both live & recording situations. A perfect example of why the J-45 has been favoured by singer/songwriters for generations and continues to inspire.
