Available now is this 2001 Fender Custom Shop 1956 reissue stratocaster NOS, made in Fender's Corona, California factory The ‘56 reissues from the fender custom shop are well known to be "Time Machine" series models designed to replicate the specific features of 1956, and this example feels excellent.
This guitar sports a solid ash body finished with a ‘thin skin’ Nitrocellulose Lacquer in white blonde which was a +150usd option in 2001 (see spec sheet). It has gold hardware and a 10/’56 "V" Shape quarter sawn maple neck with 7.25” fingerboard radius.
Electrics wise, you get a trio of Custom Shop Hand-Wound Fat '50s Single-Coils, and a 3-way selector switch, you can have it positioned in the middle of the selections in order to have neck and middle at the same time.
This guitar has been professionally set up with ernie ball 10 gauge strings and plays well with low action and no buzz. It has had a regret in December 2025 by Andy Charles guitars (receipt attached for £430) so it plays as good as it looks.
Condition wise, it has a few dings on it from use as shown in the photos above, but overall pretty clean and the marks have been reflected in the bargain price. This guitar is perfect for aspiring guitarists to seasoned professionals who are looking for a lovely instrument! Comes with original hard case, all relevant paperwork and accessories as shown.
Grab an amazing guitar for a bargain!
