The Reverend Descent baritone is here presented in Army Green with Roasted Maple fretboard. With a sleaker and lighter body, the latest Descent has been refined to provide even more playing comfort than before. The 26-3/4 scale length remains, allowing it to play like a standard guitar, while unleashing that thunderous baritone low end you’re looking for. Reverend Descent in Army GreenThe Descent has always been a standard bearer for Reverend innovation, providing baritone tone without the unwieldiness usually associated with the format. By utilising a 26 3/4” scale neck, mounted as far inboard as possible, the Descent is inherently approachable for standard guitar players. With a new, sleaker body, this latest model is even more comfortable to play over an extended session in the studio or on stage. With range of striking finishes, complemented by transparent brown backs and the new “Descent” logo on the headstock, the latest Descent looks as good as it plays.
For ultimate tonal power and precision, the Descent is fitted with two Railhammer Chisel pickups. Railhammers feature rails under the wound strings for tight lows and poles under the plain strings for fat highs. This revolutionary design from Reverend founder Joe Naylor delivers exceptional clarity and punch, that will get you heard loud and clear. The Chisel is the most aggressive humbucker in Railhammer’s range, perfect for modern metal and djent tones. A string-thru-body bridge with new aluminium ferrule block provides ultimate stability and tonal transfer. As with all Reverend guitars, the Descent is built with premium components throughout, including those you can’t see. It uses more consistent ±10% tolerance pots and capacitors (rather than the ±20% parts found on most guitars), and a Pure Tone output jack with dual contacts for a firmer connection, better signal transfer, and improved reliability. A treble bleed circuit maintains clarity when rolling back the volume, while the boneite nut minimises friction, helping the strings glide smoothly through the nut slots for enhanced tuning stability.
For players seeking a baritone that thunders like a beast but plays with the agility of a guitar, the Reverend Descent is your perfect companion in the deep end.
