Here’s a lovely example of an late ’80s USA-made Fender Stratocaster, finished in classic Olympic White and fitted with a later tortoiseshell pickguard that suits it perfectly.

This one has all the character you’d hope for from a near 40-year-old Strat — resonant, lively and full of feel. Tonally, it delivers that unmistakable vintage Strat sound: clear, articulate and dynamic, with a touch of warmth that only comes with age. The neck feels great in the hand, and despite some honest fret wear, it still plays very well with plenty of life left.

A brilliant opportunity to pick up a well-loved Strat from a strong era of Fender USA production, complete with the original Fender hardcase.

Built by Fender, this is a proper player’s vintage Strat rather than a case queen — exactly how we like them.

Condition

Good overall condition for its age. There are small dings and scratches throughout, along with some buckle rash on the back — all consistent with honest use over four decades. Frets show some wear but still play well with plenty of life remaining. Fully checked over and set up here at The Woodshed, ready to go.
