Vintage Gibson Les Paul Deluxe 1977
I bought this guitar from a friend of mine in 1986, and it has been with me since - so this year we could be celebrating 40th anniversary!
The Protector case I bought second-hand and it has one latch missing, but it still seals and protects the guitar perfectly.
The guitar is a beautiful burgundy which keeps it looks with age.
As I keep all my guitars in cases when they are not played it is extremely well preserved for its age. I didn't play it as much as it deserves, as most of the time I play classical and acoustic.
A couple of decades ago I made a decision to stop selling the good instruments I own, so I amassed quite a few. But I am now getting to age when I am beginning to think what is going to happen after me. I wouldn't want my instruments to end at some auction where some opportunistic guy with money will buy them as investments. My instruments have been selected, played and cared for, and I hope it continues to be so.
