Overview: If you can't get a big old 1920s Oscar Schmidt Stella for that "classic Leadbelly sound," then these H1270 Sovereign models are definitely the next-best thing. They have the tailpiece load, a jumbo body, nice solid woods throughout, and sound enormous. It's hard to overstate both how "old school" these sound but also how "full" they are, too. You've got the attack and woodiness of the tailpiece setup with the big-bodied warmth of a dreadnought-jumbo shape and a lightweight, ladder-braced build.

Repairs included: Ancel reset the neck, fit a fully-compensated bone saddle and adjusted the bridge height, leveled and dressed the frets, repaired a hairline crack on the back, cleaned it up, and set it up. It's playing bang-on and ready to go.

Condition notes: It has a smaller hairline crack on the back, upper bout that is repaired. The finish shows lots of mild scratches here and there throughout. The top, especially, has a ton of weather-checking/clearcoat cracking -- not in the wood but just in the finish. The finish has also yellowed/aged throughout and the top has a gorgeous, pumpkin-like glow to it.

It comes with: While it doesn't officially have a case, I may have something to fit it.
