We are a full-sevice repair and retail shop for vintage and antique musical instruments operating from my family's brick and mortar country store in the middle of the gorgeous Green Mountains in Vermont.
We specialize in oddball, curious, and lovely vintage and antique fretted instruments of all stripes with an emphasis on acoustic guitars, mandolins, ukuleles, weirdo electrics, and various banjos. Lately, we've also had a lot of newer/lightly-used instruments hanging-about, too, which is a lot of fun as well!
Unless otherwise noted, everything that we sell has been repaired and setup to play to the best of its ability and ensure its stability over time.
Up until September 18, 2017, my shop/blog was called Antebellum Instruments. I've since condensed my work under my own name, which I had been doing business as locally since 2008. In late 2022, the business expanded with the addition of our current repair crew which runs 6-7 strong depending on what's going on with our lives!

Shipping Policy
Shipping-out to the buyer will not be refunded on returns unless the item arrives not as described. Buyer pays return shipping. International shipping will generally incur some sort of upcharge depending on country, but sometimes I can ship at the same price point (especially for Europe).
Also note that it may take me 2-3 days to box and ship your purchase, though often I ship next-day. This is because I have a busy in-store customer base and sometimes I just don't have time at the end of the day to do adjustments and get an instrument in a box. If there are any time constraints as far as shipping goes, please let me know when you place an order.
Also keep in mind that I live in a rural location, so shipping outbound sometimes takes a little longer than if I were in an urban center. Packages are only picked-up once a day and sometimes don't get tracking updates until the next day.

General Terms
Items must be returned in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.
Special Conditions
I offer a 72 hour approval period. After that, if you decide to return the item, you will have to ship it back and pay return postage.
Upon return, the purchase price (minus the exact initial shipping cost) will be refunded. If the item is somehow damaged in shipping to the buyer or arrives in a condition unspecified by the listing information the buyer will be refunded in full upon safe return.
