This cassette deck is in good condition. It has passed our 10-point functional test, with 4 item(s) not applicable to this unit. Note: The cassette deck is in good condition. Audio is clean and all functions work as expected. Cosmetically, the front panel does have quite a few surface marks. There is also some light staining to the front where previous writing has left a faint impression - it is very subtle and only visible under certain lighting conditions. Please review all photos carefully, as they provide an accurate representation of the cosmetic condition of the product.

About this model

The Rotel RD-15F is a vintage 2-head, single compact cassette deck from the early 1970s, built around a super hard permalloy combined record/playback head and a separate erase head running at the standard compact cassette speed of 4.8 cm/s in 2-track, 2-channel stereo. It supports Type I, CrO2, and FeCr tape formulations and includes Dolby B noise reduction for cleaner playback. Practical transport features include cue and review, auto stop, and VU meters, while bias controls allow fine-tuning to suit different tape stocks - a thoughtful inclusion for a deck of this era.
