Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Classic T electric guitar in Gold Top finish. Made in the USA in 2017, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Carved Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a Stop Bar tailpiece, ABR-1 ToM bridge & Grover locking tuning machines. A pair of Gibson Open 'Zebra Coil' passive humbucking pickups are fitted, with a '57 Classic in the neck & a '57 Classic + in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, neck volume, neck tone, bridge volume & bridge tone controls. 

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the '60s Slim Taper profile feeling rather slender in the hand for smooth & responsive playability across the register. Whilst certainly on the slim side for a Les Paul, there is still plenty of substance to the neck which works well for chord & rhythm playing. The Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, with a nice dark appearance & tight grain that provides a smooth & durable playing surface in all fingerboard positions. 9-Hole weight relief in the body keeps the weight down somewhat, enhancing comfort on long gigs & practice sessions. 

Amplified, the pair of Gibson Open 'Zebra-Coil' passive humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick & full-bodied tones, perfect for the blues, classic rock & even heavy rock tones that we associate with the Les Paul. The '57 Classic in the neck produces a round & powerful tone, perfect for melodic lead lines & solos that can easily cut through a mix. The '57 Classic + in the bridge position is of course brighter & hotter, and can handle a serious amount of gain for saturated power chords & rocking riffs. A nicely traditional feeling Les Paul with some subtle upgrades that make it more practical for the contemporary player.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Mild indentations are present to the rear behind the nut where the guitar would make contact with a hanger. These have lightly exposed the wood beneath the finish. Light indentations to the rear top edge have caused very light delamination of the finish but do not expose the wood. A light impression to the front face is present towards the top edge, consistent with the use of a clip-on tuner. Light to mild scratching to the front face is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. A previous owner has written their name & postcode in invisible ink on the rear face. This is only visible under UV/black light.

Neck: Overall very good condition. A light scratch is present to the rear of the neck behind the 8th fret, seen only under direct light. Light tooling marks to the fingerboard are scattered across the register. The most apparent of these can be seen in the higher register but are not felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. Mild nitro checking is present to the front face of the body, as is common with nitrocellulose finishes. Mild indentations are present to all aspects of the body, the most apparent being located to the rear of the body where they have lightly pierced the finish. Light circular markings are present around the upper strap button, consistent with previous use of a strap. Light to mild scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition with light tarnishing to the bass side of the bridge. The poker chip shows light scratching. The control knobs show light internal cracking but remain secure. A previous owner has installed strap locks, the original strap buttons are not included. 

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
