This 1978 Hiwatt DR103 amplifier head features a serial number dating it to early 1978. It was the second unit produced that year and contains internal components from 1977.
The amplifier includes the original Partridge mains transformer and the original Partridge output transformer.
It is paired with a Hiwatt SE4122 4x12 cabinet. The cabinet enclosure features rugged 18mm marine-grade birch plywood construction.
The cosmetics include the original black tolex and original grille cloth. The exterior shows typical scuffs, small tears, and edge wear consistent with a 1970s amplifier. There is no major structural damage. The hardware is complete with the original handles, corners, and feet all intact.
