EVANS Sensory Percussion Sound System in excellent used condition.

A unique electronic percussion system that allows you to turn acoustic drums into electronic instruments. Unlike conventional drum triggers, Sensory Percussion detects not only velocity but where and how you strike the drum, allowing different zones, timbres and playing techniques to control samples, effects, sequences, MIDI and much more.

This is the current EVANS/Sunhouse system and includes the EVANS Sensory Percussion Portal audio interface, together with three Sensory Percussion drum sensors.

The Portal provides seven dedicated sensor inputs as well as additional analogue inputs, multiple analogue outputs, headphone outputs, MIDI and ADAT, so the system can be expanded considerably beyond the three included sensors.

The Sensory Percussion 2 software provides a very deep sound-design environment, including multi-zone drum mapping, velocity and timbre control, sequencing, sampling, effects, MIDI control and integration with Ableton Live via the SP2 VST3 plugin.

Software licence transfer

Importantly, I have arranged the software licensing side of the sale. The existing licence has been revoked so that the purchaser can register and use the Sensory Percussion software under their own account. The new licence will be issued as part of the sale.

The system has been used in a home setup.

Everything is fully operational and has been tested prior to sale.

There are minor signs of normal use but no issues affecting operation.

This is a substantial saving over buying the system new and is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to explore hybrid acoustic/electronic drumming, live sound design, electronic percussion or MIDI control while retaining the feel of real acoustic drums.
