Guitar Freak is an independent used guitar shop based in Greece, built around a genuine obsession with great instruments.

I’ve been playing guitar for over 25 years and professionally buying and selling guitars for the past five. My biggest weakness has always been Gibson — especially Les Pauls — and they make up a large part of what passes through the shop. You’ll also regularly find Fender, ESP, Martin, Marshall and Fender amps, along with other instruments and gear that catch my attention.

The focus is mainly on vintage and high-end guitars, but Guitar Freak isn’t intended to be a shop only for collectors or expensive instruments. I also look for interesting, affordable guitars that offer something worthwhile to players.

One principle matters more than anything else: I try to sell guitars that I genuinely like and believe in. Not every instrument can be my personal dream guitar, of course, but I want the shop to reflect my own taste rather than simply being a catalogue of whatever happens to be available.

Every instrument is personally inspected before being offered for sale. Guitars come through the shop in all kinds of condition, from heavily played instruments with years of history to exceptionally clean examples. My goal is to describe them accurately and give buyers the information I would want if I were buying the guitar myself.

Listings typically include detailed photographs along with information such as weight, serial number, originality, modifications and other relevant details whenever known. I would rather be clear about an instrument than leave a buyer with an unpleasant surprise after opening the case.

Every guitar is also packed personally by me before shipment. Guitar Freak ships primarily throughout the European Union, with sales also occasionally going to the UK, wider Europe, the United States and Canada.

This is a full-time business, with a dedicated Guitar Freak website and an appointment-only physical boutique also on the way.

For me, this has always been about more than buying and selling guitars. It’s about the endless search for instruments with character, history, feel and that difficult-to-explain quality that makes guitar people keep looking for the next one.
