72 Hour Approval Period for Refund, Merchandise Credit or Exchange
We very much appreciate your business and are glad you chose Matt’s Music for your purchase! We strive to provide quality, accurate advice, product descriptions and customer service from the beginning to the end of your purchase. However, we realize there are times when a return or exchange may be required. Please review our return policy below to help avoid unnecessary frustration and ensure that any exchanges or returns are processed in a smooth fashion.
Many of the "big box" music stores offer extended return policies of up to 60 days. While this may sound attractive, those stores have to resell the returned items and they usually sell them as brand new. Do you really want to buy a guitar or amp that a customer bought previously, used for 60 days and then returned? If another customer had your guitar or amp and gigged or recorded with it for two months before returning it to the store, then that's two months of use on your new gear before it even gets to your door. We want you to get exactly what you pay for when you purchase from Matt’s Music and that means we need a return policy that is fair to everyone.
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase, so we offer a 48 hour approval period on most purchases (see exclusions below). The 48 hour approval period begins when your purchased item is delivered to your door. If after 48 hours you’re not happy with the item, just contact us via phone, email or live chat on our website to arrange for a return authorization (RA#) and return shipping instructions. Any package sent back without prior authorization will be refused.
Returns must be shipped back to us within two days of the RA being issued. Items must come back to us undamaged and in the same condition they were shipped out. All manuals, paperwork, cables, tremolo arms, wrenches, etc... must be included or full credit will not be issued.
We do not have a restock fee on Reverb, but all shipping expenses that it took to get the item to you and back to us will not be refunded. Any item advertised as “USED” can be exchanged up to 7 days for store credit or another item. No cash back on used gear.
Custom orders of any kind are non returnable and non refundable. We often charge a deposit before we will place a custom or special order. All special order deposits are NON REFUNDABLE, no exceptions.
Microphones, Harmonicas, In-Ear Systems and any other items that come into contact with your mouth or ears.
Software (this may also include hardware that includes software), unless still in shrink wrap with barcode affixed.
Guitar strings, blank media, and other disposable merchandise.
Guitar or bass pickups that have been installed or used in any way.
