About Axel's Modular Bench

I’m an active electronic musician and release music under several artist names. Eurorack is not just something I use for making music - the DIY side of it has become part of the hobby in its own right.

I build modules, experiment with circuits, modify existing designs, and also develop or adapt firmware when a module can be made more useful, more personal, or simply more interesting that way.

This is a private Reverb shop where I occasionally sell used Eurorack modules and other gear from my own setup, along with a small number of DIY modules built from surplus PCB and front-panel sets.

The reason for the latter is simple: when ordering PCBs and panels for a personal build, manufacturers often require minimum quantities. I may only need one module for my own rack, but end up with several perfectly good spare sets.

Rather than letting those boards sit unused in a drawer, I gradually turn some of them into complete modules and pass them on to people who can actually use them. It is a small-scale hobby practice, not a production line.

DIY modules are hand-assembled by me, visually inspected, and function-tested before they are listed for sale. Where applicable, I clearly identify the original project or designer. A DIY build is never presented as a factory-built product from the original manufacturer unless it actually is one.

The same applies to firmware: if I have modified, adapted, or developed firmware for a module, I describe that openly in the listing rather than treating it as a hidden detail.

Used gear is described as accurately as I can, including relevant signs of use or known quirks.

Questions are always welcome. If something is not clearly visible in the photos, I’m also happy to provide additional close-ups or detail shots.

Manufacturers and Safety Information

This is a private seller account. Items offered here consist primarily of used music equipment from my personal collection and occasional hand-built DIY Eurorack modules assembled from surplus PCB and front-panel sets originally ordered for personal projects.

DIY Eurorack Modules
Unless an individual listing states otherwise:

* DIY modules are hand-assembled, visually inspected, powered up, and function-tested before sale.
* Electronic components used in my builds are specified as RoHS compliant.
* PCBs used for these builds are lead-free, and assembly is performed using lead-free solder.
* Modules are intended exclusively for use in compatible Eurorack modular synthesizer systems.
* Always switch off and disconnect the Eurorack case from power before installing, removing, or servicing a module.
* Check power-cable orientation, connector polarity, and power-supply compatibility before switching the system on.
* Never connect a Eurorack module directly to mains electricity.
* Incorrect polarity, unsuitable supply voltages, short circuits, overvoltage, moisture, conductive debris, unauthorized modification, or other misuse may damage the module and connected equipment and may create a safety hazard.
* Installation or repair should only be carried out by someone familiar with Eurorack power systems and electronic equipment.
* These modules are not intended for medical, automotive, life-support, safety-critical, or other applications in which malfunction could result in injury or significant property damage.
* Keep electronic modules, loose hardware, and packaging materials away from children.

Product-specific installation instructions, warnings, voltage requirements, and documentation stated in an individual listing or supplied by the original project take precedence over this general shop information.

Used Commercial Equipment:
For used commercially manufactured products, the manufacturer is the company or brand identified in the individual listing. Original manufacturer documentation, operating instructions, safety information, and warnings should be followed.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not modify the original safety or compliance status of used commercial equipment.

General:
Items are sold only for their intended purpose and in the condition described and pictured in the individual listing.

As a private seller, I do not provide a voluntary commercial warranty or manufacturer’s guarantee. Any exclusion or limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not affect rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, nor applicable Reverb marketplace protections.

Where specific manufacturer, economic-operator, traceability, or product-safety information is legally required for an individual item, that information will be provided with the relevant listing or through the applicable Reverb product-safety fields.
