Text us to book a visit.A sleek and seriously cool Made in Japan Fender Aerodyne II Stratocaster HSS, finished in stunning Gun Metal Blue with a matching headstock and contrasting body binding.The Aerodyne series has always been one of the more distinctive branches of Fender Japan production, taking the familiar Stratocaster platform and giving it a much more streamlined, modern feel. The carved/rounded body top, clean binding, matching headstock and slim profile make these guitars immediately recognizable, while still retaining the unmistakable feel and sound of a Strat.This HSS version is especially interesting thanks to its 24.75" medium scale, giving it a noticeably softer and more compact feel than a traditional 25.5" Strat. Combined with the Slim C maple neck, 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard and medium-jumbo frets, it is an exceptionally comfortable guitar to play. Bends feel effortless, stretches are easier, and the neck feels fast without being overly thin.The factory HSS pickup configuration makes it extremely versatile. The neck and middle Fender Standard Strat single-coils deliver the familiar clear, open Strat tones, while the Dragster BB bridge humbucker adds considerably more output and body for overdrive, heavier rhythm parts and lead work. All original pickups and electronics remain intact.This guitar is equipped with a Babicz Full Contact Hardware tremolo bridge, a high-quality bridge known for its solid construction, excellent adjustability and strong transfer of string vibration into the body. Tremolo arm is missing but it's about $10 aftermarket price.The Gun Metal Blue metallic finish looks fantastic in person, especially together with the black pickguard, black hardware details, white binding and matching painted headstock. It's a very elegant take on a Strat that feels distinctly Japanese and quite different from Fender's standard production models.The guitar is in good overall condition and shows normal signs of use throughout. There are some minor dings, scratches and general cosmetic wear around the instrument. Nothing affects playability or structural integrity.The rear tremolo cavity cover is missing.The frets are in good condition with no significant divots or problematic wear. They have been polished and the guitar plays cleanly without fret buzz.Pickups and electronics are original and everything functions properly.No case or gig bag is included.A great choice for anyone looking for something a little different from a conventional Strat — Japanese build quality, distinctive Aerodyne styling, a comfortable medium scale and a genuinely useful HSS configuration.The following work has been done: full fretboard conditioning with lemon oil, fret polish, pickup height adjustment for balance and clarity, and a fresh set of D’Addario 10–46s installed.
