If you're a fan of our videos here at Reverb, you've probably seen resident guitar player Joe Shadid doing a variety of different things all over our YouTube channel. From pickup shootouts to film scoring tips to explaining the history behind Spaghetti Western music, Joe is known around here for doing a little bit of everything.
Today, Joe is in studio playing 20 of the most classic guitar riffs ever to have been played on a Telecaster in just one take. He kicks things off with a classic—"Start Me Up" from The Rolling Stones' 1981 release Tattoo You—before progressing into "Roxanne" by The Police, "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand, and The Yardbirds' "Heart Full of Soul."
Joe's continuous Telecaster riff also features songs by artists like Elvis Presley, Radiohead, The Clash, Led Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Marilyn Manson, and many more. Be sure to check out the whole video above and let us know what you think in the comments.
