Just In: Gibson Appoints New President and CEO

After serving as interim CEO for the past several months, Cesar Gueikian has been given the job full-time as Gibson's Brand President and CEO. This announcement comes following prior top executive James “JC” Curleigh’s four-year tenure coming to an end earlier this year.

In a press release, Gueikian expressed his passion for Gibson and the responsibility he feels toward the brand's iconic past and its future. He said, "Gibson is a passion project for me… Our future depends on our team’s passion and pride in the work they do, and on creative collaboration with our artists around the world across genres of music."

Under Gueikian's leadership, the company has focused on simplifying product lines while leveraging its iconic past to create new, innovative products. The Leo Scala Master Artisan Collection and the Richie Faulkner Flying V Custom signature guitar are prime examples of this approach.

Gibson's board of directors, chaired by Nat Zilkha, has been incredibly supportive throughout Gueikian's tenure, allowing him to merge his business background with his passion for music and Gibson guitars. "The support from our board, team, artists, and fans has been overwhelming," said Gueikian. "I look forward to continuing the work we started with our leadership team, who always challenge me to be better."
