Every R2R Electric unit is built with a combination of New Old Stock (NOS) & vintage components recycled from 1950’s & 1960’s audio gear 

The R2R Electric Pre-Amp Super Deluxe is my modded version of Hofner's Preamp unit made in the 1950's. The Hofner Preamp was designed to be plugged into the auxiliary input of your home HiFi and turn it into a guitar amplifier. 

As a pedal this circuit is a fantastic clean or dirty boost.  Into a clean amp and lower volumes, it is a germanium loud button!  It just takes your signal and makes it quite a bit louder and sweeter.  Into a dirty amp, it pushes the signal into further overdrive.  With the volume control at max into a dirty amp, it sounds like a vintage tweed amp on the verge of imploding into itself. 

The Super Deluxe feature both a Hi/Lo Gain Switch and Range Control

*The Hi/Lo switch goes between standard boost or Hi Gain which is almost like a direct in console style overdrive/fuzz. It's a raspy hard edged drive vs the Lo gain being more natural and amp-like. 

*The Range control tightens up low end. Fully counter clockwise is the stock Pre-Amp setting. Fully clockwise is like a fat treble booster. Both full range still and work great into a clean amp just as well as a dirty amp.

1966 CTS 15k or 22k potentiometers  

NOS ROE 100uf electrolytic capacitors  

Philips or Ei 4.7uf & Mullard Mustard cap 5600pf input capacitors

1960's Mullard or West-Cap .22uf Mustard capacitor

Allen-Bradley carbon comp resistors  

True Bypass footswitch w/ pull down resistors 

Red LED indicator

*Due to the nature of this circuit, these pedals work best placed first in your signal chain. If you are using any buffered bypass pedals (ie: Boss, MXR, etc..) this pedal need to be placed before it in the signal chain. Please feel free to contact me with any questions* 

**This pedal can be powered by 9v battery (included) or with a standard Boss/One Spot style 9v power supply**

***Please note that these pedals will not work in a power daisy chain with other pedals that use a standard negative center power supply like a Boss or One Spot. It will need its own isolated power source either it’s own separate power adapter or it works well with a Voodoo Labs or similar power brick***

Each component is tested and matched to each pedal for optimum tone.  

I back each pedal with a lifetime warranty so if it ever stops working, send it back and I’ll repair it at no charge (aside from intentional damage)
