Crafted with a 3-piece alder/maple/alder body, the BB734A delivers a balanced, punchy tone with clear highs and a tight low end. The 5-piece maple and mahogany bolt-on neck features a thinner, modern profile for smooth playability, while Yamaha’s 6-bolt miter neck joint enhances sustain and overall resonance.

Equipped with a versatile P/J pickup configuration, the BB734A features Yamaha’s custom Alnico V pickups for a wide tonal range. The VSP7n split-coil neck pickup delivers full, defined low end without hum, while the VSC7b bridge pickup adds clarity and midrange bite. With an onboard 3-band active EQ and an active/passive switch, you can easily dial in anything from modern, punchy tones to warm, vintage-inspired sounds.

Designed for performance and durability, the BB734A also includes a Vintage Plus convertible bridge with brass saddles for improved sustain and adjustable string spacing, along with lightweight open-gear tuners for excellent balance and tuning stability.
