A great pair of original 1970s McKenzie speakers, removed from a Marshall 2196 cabinet. These are proper period-correct units with plenty of character, and a nice alternative to the usual Celestion-loaded options.
Both speakers have been fully tested and are in excellent working order, with no issues—delivering a clear, punchy response with that slightly raw, vintage edge McKenzie speakers are known for.
They retain their reflector dust caps, which not only look the part but also contribute to their distinctive tonal character and projection.
A solid choice for restoring a vintage Marshall cabinet, building something a bit different, or for anyone chasing that slightly off-the-beaten-path ‘70s British speaker tone.
