1956 Twin.

When I bought this amp some years ago, the previous owner had painted the face plate black and mounted it in a head cabinet so the pots and switches were facing forward.

1. New ”light relic“ cabinet commissioned by Armadillo Amp Works. This is the second teeed cabinet with the light relic they have built for me and I cannot say enough kind words about the folks there and their detailed craftsmanship. They kindly send direct to my friend Skip Simmons who made sure the amp was sound.

2. To my delight, Skip Simmons made minor circuit reapairs. Primarily to update previous tech repairs to maintain the vintage Fender authenticity. Amp came with some orange drop capacitors which were replaced as you can see from the circuitry photos. Much of the original circuitry remains intact including all transformers.

- New Weber vintage Jensens installed to keep the sound as original and true as possible.

- New grounded cord.

- New custom canvas cover.

Note the black paint on the chassis face. What you see removed I did with a citrus goof off and a soft cloth. I would let the goof off soak for about 20 minutes and then gently rub the black paint away. From the photos your can see the original white letterings and numbers are still mostly intact and the chassis is virtually scratch and rust free. A couple hours of elbow grease would make it shine.;

Amp is electronically and sonically as sounds as you can get for a 1956 amp.

I am not a retail shop just a half hearted player that loves vintage Fender amp.

One last thing…these amps originally came with a 3rd chassis blot that goes though that little bracket on the PT. I never got around to drilling the hole and installing it, but the amp will come with a vintage tweed chassis bolt that has the patina to match the amp.
