Up for sale, a 1968 Maestro Fuzz Tone FZ-1A in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order. Arguably the definitive Maestro Fuzz circuit, this original FZ-1A was produced by Gibson and is perfect for sputtery buzzsaw sizzle and richer overdriven fuzz roar. Under the hood, the pedal features original RCA 2N2614 germanium transistors and carbon comp resistors.
The original CTS pots date to the 1st week of 1968, and the original gold reflector cap knobs are intact. The wedge-shaped enclosure shows only the faintest edge wear, retaining all of the clean white silkscreen graphics. A 1/4" jack has been added to the side of the enclosure, omitting the previously affixed 1/4" cable.
