About This Listing

Up for grabs 1966 Fender Music Master II In Olympic white.

Overall it’s in good shape for its age, it has some nicks and scratches but nothing bad. The headstock has some beautiful finish checking going on!

This one has had a humbucker, Bigsby and D’addario locking tuners installed.

It comes with the original pickup and original tuners with the hardware.

All the electronics work, I’m sure they could benefit from some contact cleaner.

It plays and sounds good but could benefit from a setup. It has some cardboard shims under the bridge currently for playability.

It comes with a “Rockcase” hard case that fits it well.

This guitar will be professionally packaged and shipped fully insured with a signature required.

If you have any questions let me know, thanks!

Product Overview

The Fender Musicmaster II was a short-lived transitional model during the CBS takeover that featured the same design as the original Musicmaster (a 3/4 scale student model introduced in 1956) but with a regular 25.5" scale length.

It was only offered with one single coil pickup at the neck from the factory. Specimens are often seen with bridge pickups, however, as this is a popular model to modify.

Years of Production: 1964 - 1969

Finish Specifications: Olympic White is more desirable than Dakota Red.

Unique to this Year: 1966 is often recognized as the first full year of CBS-controlled production, though CBS bought the company in January of '65.
