Here we have a long standing favourite the Custom 22. Originally introduced in 1984 and amoung one of the most favourited guitars ever built as played by Al Di meola, Dave Navarro, Alex Lifeson. These earlier versions are few and far between nowadays and fairly tough to find. As with Gibson the earlier versions tend to be a bit higher specc'd in my opinion with more hands on luthier time. From experiance, these earlier PRS's tend to have better quality maple top's, more detailed mother of pearl inlays, better fretwork etc. That being said, i do think these earlier models offer great value for money considering the prices they sell for. Its worth also noting that this guitar feature's the famous Dragon II pick-ups which have been widely labelled one of best pick-ups ever produced. A little hotter then PAF's but not quite as modern sounding as the more recent HFS/Treble pick-ups. Well suited to those really looking for that Gibson grunge, erratic players will also feel at home with these pick-ups.

Condition Report: A somewhat clean guitar here. Some minor impressions in places and some laquer bubling around the side bouts, along with some clearcoat surface swirling. The underside of the headstock wing also have some lacquer peeling on one side - i assume this is where it has been hung on a hanger.
