About This Listing

For sale is my 2001 PRS Custom 24 10 Top

2001 Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 with bird inlay, finished in a beautiful honey-burst color.  This is a beautiful 10 top, which sports a very attractive book-matched flame maple top with a quite an impressive figuring. This PRS is still in pristine condition showing hardly any play-wear.  Frets are still 99%. The only flaw on this instrument is a tiny ding on the rear of the head stock one the upper point (see last pic).

The pics say it all regarding the condition. More pics available upon request. This Custom 24 features the popular wide/thin neck, the typical 5 position rotary switch and a smooth operating vibrato. In terms of balance, craftsmanship and overall play-ability it’s hard to beat a PRS and surely this one is no exception. The guitar comes with the original hard case, strap locks (no strap), & tremolo-bar.

I’m the 2nd owner. This guitar is everything you want in a PRS. I’m parting with it because I don’t play it very much, though I really should. It’s truly a great guitar with incredible tone & sustain.

Product Overview
This "in-between" phase of the PRS Custom 24 marks the switch from Brazilian Rosewood to Indian Rosewood, though the 5-way rotary selector was still in place at this time, later replaced by a "blade" switch as is used on the most recent production guitars. This era also saw the first "explosion" of finish / color options offered by PRS.
