The MXR Bass Synth MB301 is a versatile bass effects pedal that transforms your electric bass into a synthesizer, producing deep sub-bass tones, rubbery funk sounds, sweeping filter effects, and futuristic electronic textures. It is designed for bassists who want the sound of classic synthesizers without needing a separate keyboard.

Sound and character

• Deep, thunderous sub-bass: Adds a powerful synthesized tone an octave below your original notes.
• Vintage synth bass: Creates warm, rounded sounds reminiscent of classic funk and disco records.
• Rubbery, funky tones: Produces bouncy, squelchy sounds that respond to the way you play.
• Aggressive electronic textures: Delivers sharper, buzzing tones suitable for rock, industrial music, and modern pop.
• Sweeping filter effects: Creates expressive, moving sounds that can feel almost vocal or liquid.
• Modulated synth sounds: Adds movement, pulsing textures, and swirling effects to your bass line.

The pedal uses monophonic synth processing, meaning it is primarily designed to track one note at a time rather than full chords.
