The TD313 brings the latest V-Drums sound engine and expressive playing response to a compact electronic kit designed for everyday practice and home recording. Its V31 sound module uses the same flagship-grade engine found in Roland's premium V71 and V51 modules, with rich multi-sampled sounds created in collaboration with Drum Workshop.

The 12-inch PDX-12 snare supports head and rim triggering with cross-stick detection, while two PD-8H toms and one PD-10H tom use offset sensor designs for natural dynamics and reduced hot spots. A CY-12C-T dual-zone crash and CY-14R-T three-zone ride provide thin profiles, natural movement, and choke control. The CY-5 hi-hat and quiet FD-9 control pedal deliver expressive open, half-open, and closed response, and the KD-10 kick pad provides acoustic-style feel with reduced in-room noise.

Built-in wireless connectivity works with the Roland Cloud Connect mobile app for downloading Instrument Expansions and Kit Packs. A six-month Roland Cloud Ultimate membership is included, along with access to the DW Soundworks software instrument. The module also supports WAV sample import, SD audio recording and playback, Bluetooth audio streaming, and USB-C multichannel audio and MIDI for recording directly into a DAW.

Coach tools including Phrase Trainer and Stroke Monitor support structured practice, while EZ Edit controls provide quick access to tuning, muffling, and instrument changes. Two analog trigger inputs and a dedicated digital trigger input leave room for future expansion. The included MDS-Compact rack provides a stable, space-efficient foundation.
