The Giant Beat line is Paiste's modern continuation of the legendary 1960s series - 2002 bronze, lathed and hand-hammered, with a warm, full, shimmering voice that sits between vintage darkness and classic Paiste clarity. These 15s give a broad, breathy open wash and a solid, woody "chick" when closed. Ideal for classic rock, blues, soul, and anything where you want the hats to sing rather than cut.

Both cymbals carry their original ink - PAISTE GIANT BEAT TOP and PAISTE GIANT BEAT BOTTOM - with the Paiste "Made in Switzerland" stamps intact on the undersides.

PLEASE READ - THE UNDERSIDE OF ONE CYMBAL HAS BEEN POLISHED

Several years ago I polished the underside of the top cymbal, and in doing so removed its factory protective coating. That is why the pair no longer matches in color: one retains its original darker factory finish and patina, while the other is noticeably brighter and more silver. The change is permanent and purely cosmetic - it does not affect playability - but I would rather state it up front than have it come as a surprise. The photos show both undersides side by side so you can judge the difference yourself. Again, only the bottom side of the top cymbal was impacted, so it's not noticeable when these cymbals are set up on a stand.

CONDITION

Only rarely played, untouched for several years, no damage:

- No cracks, no keyholing, no edge dings on either cymbal.

- Logos and stamps fully intact.

- Normal stick marks, mottling, and surface patina from use.

- All marks are cosmetic. No structural or tonal defects.
