The Maxon FL-301 is a vintage Japanese flanger pedal from the late 1970s and early 1980s, part of Maxon's sought-after compact series. It produces the classic bucket-brigade flanging effect — lush, sweeping modulation that ranges from subtle chorus-like shimmer to deep, jet-plane whoosh — and is well regarded among vintage pedal collectors and players for its warm, analog character. The FL-301 shares DNA with the Ibanez FL-301 of the same era, as Maxon manufactured many of those pedals.
