Appalachian mountain Fretless banjo, walnut, new, made in West Virginia!!!

I finished this one today September 13, 2026. This concludes my walnut banjos of 2026 the 4 I have listed here. This one measures 36 3/8” overall length, 9 1/2” wide, 1 3/4” side height, and I have the bridge 25” from the nut in the photos. This one has my V neck profile that is a very old style and so comfortable in the hands & as far as I know I’m the only one making them like this today. The solid ebony violin pegs are fit into holes reamed with two separate violin peg reamers with one special made for the 5th peg. The reamers cut the same taper & angle as the pegs for the best friction fit possible. The 5th string pip is made of ebony also. The Aquila super nylgut strings will take about two weeks to stretch and settle in though I brought them up to standard tuning 3 times to make it easier for you. I will include a set of guidelines with this that explains more. I’m offering this one cheaper than the others as my one time deal. Maybe you will want to know why this one is cheaper than the others and it’s because I want to make a sale and maybe someone has been wanting one but my others are just a little out of their price range so I offer this one to give someone a chance to own one. It’s hard sometimes to convey the quality of my handcrafted banjos to someone who hasn’t handled one but I got several repeat customers and had a man who lived with Frank Proffit and Stanley Hicks approve & compliment my banjos so to me that’s the best compliment I could get.
