For sale is my Gibson Les Paul Custom 25/50 Anniversary in Ebony finish, complete with its original Gibson hard case.

This is a genuine USA-made 25/50 model from the late 1970s/early 1980s and has clearly been a working player's guitar throughout its life rather than a case queen. It shows extensive honest play wear and has been modified, but remains a striking and increasingly uncommon Gibson.

Condition

This guitar has been played and enjoyed for many years.

There is significant cosmetic wear to the finish and hardware consistent with age and use. The gold plating shows tarnishing and wear in places, and there are marks, scratches and finish wear throughout.

The original case is included and remains in serviceable condition, showing the expected signs of age.

Modifications

At some point in its life the guitar was modified with:

• Kahler tremolo system
• Locking nut

These modifications appear to have been professionally installed and have likely been present for decades.

As a result, this is very much a player-grade vintage Gibson rather than a collector-grade original example.

Pickups

The guitar is fitted with gold-covered humbuckers.

I have removed one pickup for inspection and the underside is unmarked. The pickups have vintage braided wiring and appear to be of significant age, but I cannot confirm whether they are the original factory-fitted Gibson pickups.

For that reason, the pickups are being sold as unconfirmed originality, and buyers should make their own assessment from the photographs provided.
