For sale is a rare pair of Vintage 15" Paiste Formula 602 Hi-Hats from the early Pre-Serial era. These cymbals feature the first-generation embossed stamp with the word "trade" placed lower next to the PAISTE lettering, marked "Made in Switzerland." This first series is dated between 1966 and 1971. In this medium weight, they offer the classic 602 characteristics: a fine, controlled sound, good stick definition, and a clean "chick" when stepped. They are well-suited for jazz, acoustic music, and studio recordings.

Condition:
The hi-hats are in good, well-preserved condition with no cracks, no keyholes, and no warping. To preserve the original patina, the cymbals have deliberately not been polished.

Edge Note: The top cymbal has a dent and a small fleabite/nick and the bottom cymbal has a very small dent on the outer edge (documented in the photos). These cosmetic vintage flaws do not affect the structural stability or the sound of the cymbal.

Local pickup and inspection in Berlin are welcome and preferred. Alternatively, shipping can be organized. The cymbals will be shipped fully insured up to €500 with a tracking number via international courier, securely packed in a sturdy box with protective material for the edges.
