Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab 1964 ES-335 Reissue - ultra light aged sixties cherry, semi-hollow body electric guitar belongs to the Tom Murphy's Lab collection. For 25 years, Tom Murphy has been replicating the vibe and character of vintage guitars. In partnership with the master luthier, Gibson scientifically reverse-engineered the original imperfect and brittle 1950/60s Gibson lacquer which was causing checks under the finish. Every Murphy Lab aged creation takes a completely separate path through the Custom Shop, receiving the Murphy Lab special lacquer formula and hand-applied Murphy Lab techniques.

This guitar is cosmetically in very good condition with a scratch on the back and some minor wear on the pickguard and a scratch on the back of the headstock. For the aesthetics the first owner placed period correct "aged" knobs on the guitar and the original knobs are included. The frets are in excellent condition and the guitar is fully checked and set up with new strings. Comes with the original hard case, case candy and COA.
