About this listing
The Pearly Gates set is designed to transform any humbucker-equipped guitar into a classic rock powerhouse. These pickups are faithful recreations of the specific P.A.F. units found in Billy Gibbonsâ legendary 1959 Les Paul, offering a tonal character that stands apart from standard vintage clones. The P.A.F.-style neck pickup features a unique midrange focus and a warm, "spongy" low end. Thanks to the alnico 2 bar magnet, it retains an open and airy treble attack, allowing it to cut through the mix during both rhythm and lead passages. The bridge pickup - Modelled after Billyâs original bridge pickup, which Seymour discovered had a slightly higher output than typical P.A.F.s - delivers extra drive and a signature "growl." Its midrange emphasis provides the famous "Texas sizzle" while keeping the highs focused and clear. To capture unmistakable vintage mojo, these humbuckers are wound on the original Leesona winding machine salvaged from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Every set is hand-built in Santa Barbara, California, using period-correct materials and modern reliability standards.Features alnico 2 bar magnets for a smooth, musical responseBuilt with a durable nickel silver bottom plateIdeal for players looking to bring a classic rock/outlaw personality to their music
