Here we have the ThorpyFX Veteran Si dual fuzz and treble boost pedal. Right where to start. I love fuzz but it doesn't love me. I've never liked a fuzz pedal I've owned and I've never managed to get a sound out of one I liked. That was until this came along. The fuzz is a all out silicon fuzz face but the smooth and bias controls are what really sets this apart. crank the smooth and it's full on fuzz face, dial it back and you have just tamed that flubby low end but lost a bit of gain. That's fine dial up the bias, getting it running hotter and all that gain just came back but in a much more manageable sound. Quite frankly it's bloody fantastic and I am questioning do I really want to do this. On to the treble booster. Simple 2 knobs to control it. Boost and range. Up the boost and you will have that valve amps singing. The range control allows you to set as a true treble booster but if like me you want to bring some of the low end back just turn it clockwise and there it is. Both sides stack beautifully together and I'll be honest I have not found a pedal yet that responds to the guitar vol and tone controls as good as this. Cleans up beautifully. It's a Thorpy pedals so it's made with only the best and built like a tank. On that note it is a big beast coming in a bit bigger than the other Thorpy mki size pedals.
