I’m selling one of my favorite guitars, a G&L Fullerton Deluxe Doheny, built in Fullerton, California (USA), a 2019 model. The instrument is in very good condition, carefully maintained, with no dings or technical issues.
It comes with the G&L Deluxe hard case, COA, and all the original documentation.
As it was a custom order, the first owner opted for a more unusual configuration: a Swamp Ash body with a see-through finish, paired with a rosewood fretboard (most Doheny guitars come with an alder body and a solid finish).
It features MFD wide-bobbin pickups designed by Leo Fender and the proprietary G&L PTB tone system (instead of a standard tone control, there are two potentiometers that cut lows and/or highs), essentially giving you a primary EQ right at your fingertips.
The guitar is part of the Fullerton Deluxe series, the premium line built in the USA. Additionally, G&L production has ended and the factory has closed, which makes existing American-made instruments increasingly sought after on the second-hand market.
It’s essentially a refined Jazzmaster. I expect that after acquiring G&L, Fender may eventually adopt this formula.
