Part of the Anniversary Collection, created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Gibson's Flat-Top guitars, the Gibson Custom SJ-200 Anniversary Limited Edition is one of five guitars that make up this exclusive commemorative series, with each model limited to just 100 units. While retaining the features that made the SJ-200 famous, this special edition stands out for its use of highly selected materials and a series of exclusive aesthetic details designed to honor one of Gibson’s most iconic models.
The solid Sitka Bear Claw spruce top is paired with AAA figured maple back and sides, enhanced by multi-layer binding with abalone inlays and a two-piece AA maple neck with a "Round" profile.
The rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 20 standard frets and graduated crown inlays in mother-of-pearl, providing smooth and natural playability, ideal for any performance style.
Finally, thanks to the L.R. Baggs VTC electronics, the SJ-200 Anniversary Limited Edition is perfectly suited for stage and studio use. The system includes a piezoelectric under-saddle transducer and an active preamp with volume and tone controls mounted inside the soundhole, easily accessible yet visually discreet. This configuration ensures a natural and dynamic reproduction of the acoustic sound, preserving the instrument's tonal character even in amplified setups.
