The Fractal Audio Axe-Fx III Mark I is a professional rackmount amp modeller, preamp and multi-effects processor designed for studio, stage and touring applications. Introduced as Fractal Audio's third-generation flagship processor, it combines detailed amplifier modelling with extensive effects, cabinet simulation and flexible signal routing.Its powerful processing architecture allows complex signal chains to combine multiple amplifier, cabinet, drive, modulation, delay and reverb blocks. Each preset provides multiple channels and scenes, enabling a wide range of sounds to be recalled without requiring separate presets for every tonal variation.The Axe-Fx III includes a large colour display and dedicated front-panel controls for convenient editing, while Axe-Edit software provides detailed computer-based control. Extensive analogue, digital and USB connectivity also allows the processor to operate as the centre of a sophisticated live or studio rig.USB audio functionality provides multi-channel recording and re-amping directly with a computer, while balanced outputs, digital connections, MIDI and Fractal's FASLINK II interface allow straightforward integration with professional audio equipment and compatible FC-series foot controllers.
