À propos de cette annonce
This item is in excellent condition for 1969. There is a small impression on the lower bout I tried to photograph. Theirs is light checking in the nitrocellulose that is consistent with this age. Comes with SKB hard case. Condition & Structural Assessment Body & Finish: The solid Sitka spruce top and genuine mahogany back and sides show remarkably clean, original gloss lacquer. No visible cracks, repaired top splits, or significant buckle rash. Internal Markings: Features the factory "MADE FOR GUT OR NYLON STRINGS" warning stamp alongside the traditional C.F. Martin Nazareth, PA center-strip branding. Hardware & Headstock: Original side-mount classical tuners with floral engraving and pearloid buttons are intact and fully functional. The slotted headstock face and Martin decal are crisp. Dealer Decal: The vintage Lipham Music Co. (Gainesville, FL) decal on the back of the headstock is a charming piece of Florida music history—Lipham was the go-to shop for northern/central Florida musicians in the late 1960s and 70s. Collector consensus generally considers original period shop decals additive to provenance rather than a finish defect. Neck & Heel: The mahogany neck is clean along the entire profile, with a tight factory neck joint and no added strap buttons or heel cracks.Refined Market Value (Excellent Condition)Given the preservation, original hardware, and crack-free timbers, this example sits at the top tier for late-1960s N-10s: Private Sale / Collector Market: $3,400 – $4,200 Vintage Dealer Showroom / Consignment: $4,500 – $5,500+ (especially with its original blue or black Martin hardshell case)
