The modified circuitry of the three-channel preamplifier provides a more defined and clearer reproduction of distorted sounds. The proven 3-band tone control, which is shared by all channels, in conjunction with the presence control allows precise tuning of the tone colour. The integrated reverb effect of the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV, whose smooth sound development remains clear and defined even with strong settings, has also been reworked.
