Electro-Voice EVF-1151S 15in Front-Loaded Subwoofer (Weatherized Black)

Overview

The Electro-Voice EVF-1151S is a front-loaded 15 in bass element for fixed installation, built around one EVS15SB woofer in a trapezoidal 13-ply birch enclosure. It shares the height of the EVF 12 in and 15 in full-range models, and its rigging lets it form vertical or horizontal clusters with EVF and EVH loudspeakers. In passive mode an internal low-pass filter rolls off above 100 Hz at 12 dB per octave, so up to two EVF full-range systems can run in parallel with it on one amplifier channel rated for a 2.1 ohm minimum load, with no external DSP crossover. The cabinet comes in black or white, in three versions: EVCoat for interior use, PI for indirect weather exposure such as under a roof overhang, and FG with a fiberglass finish for direct exposure.

• Rigging: 22 M10 threaded suspension points, one eyebolt kit included, and optional HRK and VRK kits for horizontal and vertical clusters.
• Weather resistance: EVCoat versions are rated IP44; PI and FG versions are rated IP55 and use a stainless steel grille with hydrophobic cloth. External fasteners are stainless steel on all versions. FG versions have no enclosure vents, which somewhat reduces low-frequency response.
• Service access: the switch card slot also takes the optional EVI-AC access card for testing the woofer and protection circuitry without opening the enclosure.
