Often compared to the Phase 90, the Small Stone phaser pedal first appeared in 1975. Since then, it has become a classic phaser, and remains a popular pedal in the lineup, undergoing minor changes over the years.
This is Version 1, featuring simple graphics. Based on the dating of each part, we estimate it to have been produced around 1975. There is a hole on the back panel, possibly for routing the battery snap, and the casing shows signs of use, giving it a nice, vintage feel. The casing screws have been replaced.
The battery snap and potentiometers have been replaced, and the soldering has been repaired. The basic controls are "RATE," which changes the speed of the swell, and "COLOR," which is a switch to turn feedback on/off. Overall, it has a gentle and warm tone that is its main appeal.
Replacement parts: Housing mounting screws, battery snap, POT
Accessories: None
