-----------------------------------
The Decimator X noise reduction pedal is the latest generation of noise reduction technology. The Decimator X features an improved release with an Integrated Release Window that follows the input signal envelope to provide the smoothest, ripple-free approach. The IRW provides instant response to short staccato notes while expanding downward to control long sustained notes without ripple. The Decimator pedal is easy to use and operate.
Adjust the Decimator X's Threshold control while listening to the noise floor with no instrument signal. Turn the Threshold control clockwise until you no longer hear the noise floor. You may need to readjust the Threshold with your guitar volume turned up to full volume. Adjusting the Threshold too far clockwise can cause the downward expander's output level to attenuate faster, preventing the signal from attenuating naturally.
â– Battery & Adapter
To install the battery, loosen the thumbscrew shown above and lift the switch cover to access the battery compartment. Insert a 9V battery into the connector, place the battery in the compartment, and then tighten the thumbscrew while holding the switch cover down to close it.
To use Decimator X with an external power adapter, choose an adapter that provides DC9V (center negative) and at least 100mA.
