'Mic Activator' - Patch this between your passive microphone and a preamp/interface with phantom power, and it will add up to 25dB of clean gain to your mic. Typically used to boost low output mics (such as Shure SM7b and other dynamic or ribbon mics) where either your preamp/interface doesn't have enough gain on its own to get a good level, or where your preamp adds too much noise when you crank it up.

This item is in very good used condition; there are some light marks/scratches to the finish - please see pictures, but it is in excellent working order.
